As most of you know we @ Investment Motorcars love very unique 2 seat Limited Production Sports cars. This rare Coupe happens to be one of the most unusual purpose built Race Cars that MG has ever been involved with. Englishman Harry Lester was an MG devotee racing a modified MG PB for many years. He wanted to improve the standard product & the result was a closed coupe having superior handling being lighter & more powerful than any contemporary MG TC. Special ordered by Maurice Toulman, MG agent & racer, who needed something special to fit his 6'4" frame, had Harry Lester make this unusual but beautiful aerodynamic Coupe out of aluminum. Known as the T51 Coupe, this went on to become one serious contender on the Euro race circuit having a fully documented history from day one. It is the only one ever made...quite an exclusive toy ! |
