| SOLD! The Excaliber has been an icon Worldwide since 1965 making some of the coolest retro Mercedes SSK Roadsters & Phaetons long before it was fashionable. At 1st the earliest of cars were very sporty & performance oriented. As time passed, they became these luxury cars for the rich & famous & they lost their sporty appeal that the original SSK's had to offer. The very last series of cars were built in 1994 & were known as the "Limited Edition". These were all made on the Pheaton 4 seat platform & once again became a performance built sports car that could be driven to perform well not only from 0-60 mph but could take on any mountain roads full of curves with ease still retaining its creature comforts. Having built only 27 examples in 1994, this happens to be the very last sold as new in 1998 making this the very last Excalibur to be sold new! |
